If you are just beginning to ride or if you are an experienced veteran, you are sure to have an epic day riding the trails at Sugarloaf Park.

SUGARLOAF PARK IS THE FOCAL POINT OF LES MONTAGNARDS’ BIKING ACTIVITIES: The Park is used as a meeting place for the Club rides and activities. Check-out the events and calendar sections of the Web site for Club biking activities at the Park.

THE PARK BOASTS OVER 25 KM (16 MI.) OF MARKED MOUNTAIN BIKING TRAILS. Here are the three marked mountain biking trail systems available in the Park:

THE TERRY FOX TRAIL [4 km]: Access this trail from the Park’s base area close to the beaver dam located to the left when entering the Park. The very wide crushed rock Terry Fox Trail (4 km • 2.5 mi.) winds around the base of the mountain. This is the most popular trail in the Park and is accessible to all but be advised that the trail includes some climbs and descents. The hiking trail going to the summit of Sugarloaf Mountain is accessible from the Eastern section of the Terry Fox trail. At the North Eastern portion of the trail, an intersection connects with the City of Campbellton’s NB Trail System [East parallel with Route 11] bringing you along Walker Brook, and the spectacular Restigouche River waterfront in Campbellton.

LES MONTAGNARDS BIKING TRAILS: Located in the Park’s uplands, this trail system borrows the cross country ski winter trails. Three marked trails [#1, 2 & 3], are more than 10 km long, winding through beautiful mountainous terrain and around Prichard Lake, one of the Park’s jewels. ACCESS THISPrichard Lake TRAIL SYSTEM BY USING THE CHAIRLIFT: When the chairlift is in operation, leave your vehicles at the main lodge parking lot and take the lift with your bike to the top of the alpine ski hill then connect on the left with trail #1 of LES MONTAGNARDS located .06 km, from the x-c ski shelter from where you connect to trail #2 and then trail #3 circling the beautiful Prichard Lake. . . OR ACCESS this trail system by following the dirt road passing in front of the campground entrance and ending in the parking lot close to the x-c ski shelter, a 2 km climb.

A SINGLE TRACK TRAILS MAP developed by LES MONTAGNARDS will SOON be posted on our Web site.

BIKE-PARK TRAILS: Live a unique mountain biking experience at Sugarloaf Park, and ride Atlantic Canada’s only Bike Park accessible by mountain lift. The Bike Park offers more than 10 km of alpine ski style trails.
